This page will only show some general tips for citing sources and offer a brief sample of some frequently used citations. Please consult your writing/grammar handbook or instructor for more specific questions and guidance.
Chicago citations (also referred to as Turabian) are based on the Chicago Manual of Style (CMS). CMS offers two different ways of citing sources in a paper:
In Microsoft Word, footnotes and endnotes can be created by selecting the “References” tab. First, place the cursor at the end of the sentence that you are paraphrasing or quoting from an outside source, and then click on “Insert Footnote” or “Insert Endnote.”
