TITLE: Art Gallery Assistant
HOURS: Variable (maximum = 12 hours/week)
RATE OF PAY: $6.50/hr
DUTIES: The gallery assistant will greet visitors to the UW-Waukesha Fine Arts Gallery and welcome them to enjoy the exhibit while also being careful to protect the artwork on exhibit from harm. The gallery assistant will remain in the gallery when there are visitors present and may sit just outside the gallery when there are no visitors. The gallery assistant will keep a count of the number of visitors per day and record the number. When applicable, the gallery assistant will assist the gallery director with other tasks related to the gallery such as painting sculpture cubes, installing labels, etc.

TITLE: Computer Lab Assistant

RATE OF PAY: $6.50/hr
DUTIES: Help users with Microsoft Office 2007, the Internet and other programs; to help users in printing from and exiting programs properly; take a head count of the LAB users every half hour; to keep the printer loaded with paper; to answer the telephone and take telephone messages when appropriate, to inform the Manager of any problems or suggestions you may have about the Computer Lab, your hours, students, software/hardware problems, etc.

TITLE: Continuing Education Assistant
HOURS: 15 – 20 hours per week. Student will need to be available evenings 5:00 -9:00 p.m. and weekends (Saturdays and Sundays as needed when classes are offered)
RATE OF PAY: $7.00/HR
DUTIES: Answer questions from the public about Life Long Learning Programs (continuing education non credit programs), process registrations over the phone for classes, copy and distribute class and promotional materials, update mailing list and databases in Excel, assist instructors, perform class set ups.

TITLE: Athletic Games Assistant
HOURS: 5-15 per week
RATE OF PAY: $5.25/hr
DUTIES: Duties vary from keeping statistics, videotaping, line judges; the athletic staff may assign set-up and breakdown for contests and various duties as needed.

TITLE: Equipment Room Attendant & Gymnasium Supervisor
HOURS: Up to 10 per week
RATE OF PAY: $5.25/hr
DUTIES: Supervising activities in the gymnasium, checking out equipment and various miscellaneous tasks as directed by the Physical Education Staff.

DUTIES: Assist campus grounds keeper in such things as watering, weeding, planting and a variety of other gardening activities.

TITLE: Library Assistant
HOURS: 8-12 hours per week
RATE OF PAY: $7.00/hr
DUTIES: check library materials in and out, give directions to patrons, refer reference questions to a librarian, answer and transfer telephone calls, check in newspapers, process new books and magazines, and shelve books.

TITLE: Media Services Assistant
HOURS: 8-12 hours per week
RATE OF PAY: $7.00/hr
DUTIES: Assist patrons, answer telephone calls, take requests for equipment and services, check out CDs and tapes, duplicate audio tapes, set up and deliver VCRs and other media equipment to classrooms, and shelve media materials. Interested students may be trained for more specialized technical procedures and production.

DUTIES: Student Ambassadors represent the UW-Waukesha campus through student recruitment, community relations and other internal and external public related functions. Student Ambassadors should be professional in manner, speech and dress at all times. An ideal candidate is outgoing and not afraid to speak in front of peers and their parents. An ambassador is never really off-duty so the ideal candidate would have the patience to be approached in the halls by fellow students to answer questions that they may have concerning a variety of topics. Rate of Pay: $7.00 (work study is required)
Duties: This position provides assistance in event
coordination, publicity creation and clerical duties.
Event Coordination may include set up and take down of events,
gathering supplies for events, and greeting participants.
Publicity creation may include creating banners/posters, desk
top publishing, hanging posters and assisting clubs with their
promotions. Clerical duties may include photocopying,
filling, data entry and preparing documents. Work may be
performed in the Clubs Room or elsewhere around campus.

HOURS: Arranged to fit your schedule and student demand.
RATE OF PAY: $7.50/hr
DUTIES: Responsible for maintaining regular schedule with assigned students. Position requires strong human relations skills as well as academic success in the subject tutored. Appointed with faculty recommendations. Must attend training session. Needs to maintain at least a 3.0 overall GPA and an A in the subject tutored.

TITLE: Theater Shop Assistant
HOURS: 5-10 hours per week
RATE OF PAY: $6.00/hr
DUTIES: Hanging and focusing of lighting equipment for different shows, set construction for theatre productions, run lights and/or sound for outside groups, set up sound for different events, clean and organize the scene shop, and provide technical support to outside groups.
