Certificate in Business
Students interested in pursuing a degree in business now can get
a head start at UW-Waukesha. The UW Colleges offer a Certificate in
Business, which bundles electives with associate degree requirements
to prepare students for a future in business. The program introduces
business theory and practice and firmly grounds it in the modern political,
social, and economic environment.
Devised in order to offer certification of their achievement to
students who will not pursue a bachelor's degree, the program
serves students seeking the degree by preparing them for upper level
courses. Returning students who want to branch into different career
paths also can find the certificate helpful.
Comprised of 25-26 credits, the certificate includes classes in
business, computer science, economics and mathematics. Certificate
students take introductory business, accounting, and information
management courses, additional accounting, as well as macro and
micro economics and statistics.
