Meet the OWL Staff!
Tutors:
OWL tutors are UW-Colleges students who have received an "A" in
English 102, have been recommended by their instructors, and have
undergone extensive tutor training.
The OWL tutors are happy to share their insight into writing with
you and will try to formulate a thorough and useful response to your
draft. Please note, however, that they are not magicians, nor do they
know absolutely everything about writing. The OWL can, perhaps,
best be viewed as a way to get a very good peer response to your writing.

Hobbies:
Well, I partake
in the enjoyment derived from the above listed favorite items. I
also write, draw, make jewelry and purses, do a little acting, and
fight for the eradication of modern day slavery (also known as human
trafficking) around the world.
Pets:
None at the moment,
but I do currently have a cocoon in residence, though.
Most Embarrassing Moment:
It’s still the
Tom Kevo Incident, which occurred in my sophomore year of high
school and involved a crush (mine, on Tom Kevo), a phone call
(wherein I thought I was talking to the dreaded Rob, but was, in
fact, speaking with the beloved Tom), a lie (about diarrhea, to get
“Rob” off the phone, because I was waiting for Tom to call), a
realization (the next day at school, when Tom looked at me
disgustedly and asked if I was feeling better), and a lifetime of
mortification (and without Tom Kevo, from whom I heard nevermore).
Personal Statement:
Hmmm…well, I
can’t think of any particular personal statement that I adhere to.
Of course, that might be because, as Oscar Wilde said, “only the
shallow know themselves.” Or, it might just be that I’m too lazy to
come up with one.
