Registration & Enrollment

Registration

Once admitted, you'll follow this step-by-step guide to get you through the registration process:

Step 1

All students need to create a username and password to be used on our campus computing systems. To do so you must go to the PRISM page. Click on the button "First Time User Login" and follow the instructions to obtain your USER ID and create a password. If you are having issues obtaining your USER ID please contact Enrollment Services at UW-Waukesha at (262) 521-5041.

Step 2

All new freshmen will need to take placement tests for English and Math. Transfer students without prior college credit in either area will also be required to take placement tests. If you are a non-degree/Special student and are planning to register for a course that has a prerequisite of English or Math you will be required to take the placement test(s) or show proof or having met the prerequisite (transcripts must be sent to Enrollment Services).

For more information about Placement Testing at UW-Waukesha, please go to the Placement Tests page.

Transfer students may meet with an advisor prior to registration, as needed. If you have been admitted on probation as a transfer student you will be required to meet with an advisor. Please call the Academic Success Center at (262) 521-5476 to schedule a meeting with an academic advisor.

It is highly encouraged that transferring students attend a Transfer Transition session.  If interested in registering for this event please refer to your "Next Steps" email.

Please note, if you have met prerequisites for a course you are planning to take at UW-Waukesha elsewhere, you MUST provide proof of having met the prerequisite by providing unofficial transcripts to the Enrollment Services Office at UW-Waukesha.
