Business and Economics
As a business/economics student, you may choose from a variety
of general education courses in: humanities, fine arts, natural
sciences, mathematics and social sciences. The business/economics
core requirements include courses in: accounting, business
mathematics, business statistics, communications, computer science
and economics.
This combination of a strong foundation in business and economics,
and a broad, liberal-arts education gives you the knowledge and
tools needed to adapt to technological and social changes that may
affect your life and careers in the years ahead.
If you plan to begin a major in business or economics, you will
have the opportunity to complete the requirements for an
Associate Degree from
UW-Waukesha. At the same time, you are able to complete the freshman
and sophomore requirements for a Bachelor's Degree in Business
or Economics (The junior and senior years can be completed at
campuses throughout the UW System and other institutions.)
Faculty
UW-Waukesha business and economics department faculty are committed
to excellence in teaching. The also have the added benefit of having
worked in the business world. They believe strongly in the concept
of small, personal class size in order that you have the opportunity
to receive the maximum education exposure.
