The UW-Waukesha is a liberal arts, transfer campus with a small college atmosphere. Students find many opportunities for extracurricular participation and leadership.
Participation outside the classroom enhances the college experience by sharpening organizational, leadership and communication skills. These are the very skills transfer that future employers are looking for. Several studies have shown that students who are actively engaged in the campus community through student activities, internships, career opportunities and personal connections are more likely to succeed academically.
UW-Waukesha athletes are members of the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference and are subject to the rules and regulations contained in the Handbook of the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference. For more information visit athletics & recreation.
Clubs & Organizations
Participation in clubs and organizations enhances your college experience by sharpening your organizational, leadership and communication skills. You also have an opportunity to make new friends by getting involved in any of the many activities on campus. The student organizations page has more in-depth information about the clubs on campus.
Fine & Performing Arts
Students and community members alike are able to participate in music ensembles (symphonic band, choir, orchestra, handbell choir) and theatre productions (fall production, spring production, winter and summer children's theatre, summer musical) for credit or enrichment. Opportunities may also be available for students in the campus art gallery.
