The University of Wisconsin-Waukesha welcomes Dr. Manoj Lamichhane to their faculty as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics. He completed his undergraduate and master’s degree at Tribhuvan University in Nepal and a second master’s degree as well as a Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of Toledo, Ohio. Lamichhane’s most recent experience was at Western Kentucky University, where he taught College Algebra and Calculus. He has received numerous teaching awards over the years, including “Excellence Teaching Award from the University of Toledo (2015), Dr. Wayne Dancer Memorial Scholarship (2013) and “Teacher of the Year” award from Shree Panch Kanti Boarding Secondary School (2000). His research relates to curvature properties of left invariant metrics and Lorentzian metrics on Lie groups in low dimensional Lie Algebra.
Fluent in English, Nepali and Hindi, Dr. Lamichhane “looks forward to teaching various courses in Mathematics, participating in departmental activities and engaging in professional development by keeping current on research and technologies in assigned specialties.”
UW-Waukesha is located at 1500 University Drive in Waukesha. Fall classes begin Tuesday, September 5.
