Two academic advisors, Dan Geddes and Denise Lorge, have joined the Solution Center team at UW-Waukesha. Both will be focusing on helping UW-Waukesha students to be successful in their educational
and professional careers.
Geddes earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he also completed a Master of Science in Administration Leadership with an emphasis in higher education. His background includes seven years of experience working with a diverse body of students in several areas of higher education, most recently at Cardinal Stritch University. Geddes has a strong interest in the scholarship of higher education and appreciates exploring student success efforts with colleagues and students.
Denise Lorge earned a Master of Arts in Counseling with a Concentration in Higher Education from Lakeland College and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UW-Parkside. Her experience includes eight years with Herzing University, where she served on the Student Services Advising team and as an adjunct instructor facilitating classes in Professional Development. She will split her time between UW-Waukesha (75%) and UW-Washington County (25%) as both campuses are in the UW Colleges Southeast region. Lorge believes that taking an interest in each student’s growth and success in their educational journey helps instill a support system and sense of self-worth.
UW-Waukesha is the largest campus in the UW Colleges, the UW System’s network of freshman/sophomore campuses. The campuses serve as an affordable access point to the UW System, offering a quality UW education to many students who might not otherwise be able to attend college.
