The Computer Center, located in the Commons near the Hub, contains an open lab, three classrooms, and the instructional technology (IT) staff offices.
The open lab is available for use by faculty, staff, and students. There are lab assistants available to help with network and wireless access, e-mail, D2L, Share Point, and PRISM. The lab also has scanner and laptop workstations. Laser printers are available for black and white and color printing. The campus is currently running WIN 7, Office 2010 which includes Word, Power Point, Excel, Access, and Publisher. There is also course related software such as AutoCAD, Derive, Minitab, Scientific Notebook, and Visual Studio .NET, Read Out Loud, and Skygazer.
Community members may use the Lab with a current photo ID. Although printing is not available to community members in the Lab, it is available for a fee in the UW-Waukesha Library.
The IT staff is available to help with classroom technology, wireless and network access, distance education, printing, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and circulating equipment such as digital recorders and cameras. Additionally IT supports Share Point, D2L, e-mail, and Blackboard Collaborate.
