Winterim

Winterim is a three-week accelerated for-credit session that’s held between the fall and spring semesters and it’s a popular addition to the UW-Waukesha CE curriculum.  Tuition costs are the same as the regular academic year and the classes begin January 5, 2010.  Classes scheduled to be held include The Biology of Women (BIO 130); Introduction to Public Speaking (COM 103); and Physics for the Health Sciences (PHY 110).  Many other courses are schedule with additional courses being considered, so check back frequently for updates.

UW-Waukesha Continuing Education offers accelerated college credit courses over winter break. Please read these instructions carefully before registering.  Incorrect registrations will not be accepted. 

Follow these steps:

1. Select your Winterim course(s) and enroll.

2. Choose your payment option:

A. BEST:  Pay for your course in full and your spot will be secure. The full payment $558.49 includes your non-refundable deposit.

B. OTHER:  Reserve your spot with a $125.00 non-refundable deposit. Balance of $433.49 will be due December 1, 2009 – no exceptions -- to secure your spot in the class.  Full payment (BEST option) must be received to secure your spot in a class. Further, if the full payment is not made by December 1, 2009, you will lose your non-refundable deposit of $125 and dropped from the course. NO exceptions. Registrations made after December 1, 2009, must pay for the class in full. Deposits only cannot be accepted after this time.

Online Payment can be made with Visa or Mastercard.

3. Print out the UW-Waukesha Continuing Education Special Student Application. Fill it out, scan it and e-mail it back to: holly.wehrhahn@uwc.edu

Notes:

Qualified students with disabilities (those who have been admitted and can provide documentation of their disability) have the right to request accommodations from the University.  To ensure that services are in place, they need to be requested by Dec. 1, 2009. After December 1, 2009 special accommodations cannot be guaranteed for any class.  Continuing Education must receive the request as quickly as possible upon notification.  If accommodations cannot be fulfilled your money less the deposit will be refunded. 

Regarding transfer information, please consult your student advisor to verify progress toward your degree and to verify changes, if any, to requirements from the transferring institution.

The Special Student Application must be returned to the UW-Waukesha Continuing Education offices C128-C132.  Submitting the application does not secure your spot.  To secure your spot in a class, see below.

Schedule* for Winterim courses:

Week 1 January 5 – January 8, 2010: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Week 2 January 11 – 14, 2010: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
Week 3 January 19 – 22, 2010: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

*COM 349, Children’s Theater Production for weeks 1, 2, 3 meets Tuesday-Friday.

Winterim Refund Policy

A $125.00 non-refundable deposit will be charged to your account at the time of enrollment. For all cancellations, you will be refunded any tuition money paid minus the $125.00 non-refundable deposit.  All refunds will be processed within 10-15 business days and mailed directly to the address provided.
