Welcome! Continuing Education is excited to offer several new youth programs for the upcoming year and hope you will join us for some hands-on learning! Youth ages K-12 are welcomed on campus to explore what we have to offer.
This spring we are offering a youth Art class using mixed media and by requests, we will be offering a youth American Sign Language class. Back by popular demand, we will be offering our Lego robotics classes and are introducing the newly released EV3 Lego robotics! Of course, spring would not be the same without our annual GEMS (Girls Engineering, Math, and Science) Day which serves up to 200 girls each year!
Most appealing to high school students is our ACT: The Cambridge Approach preparation class. The class includes both a pre- and post-test to help with test anxiety and to gauge your progress. Each class is custom designed around the student pre-test results. Instruction is designed to cover the most critical areas of English, Reading, Science, and Math, and also helps with writing and test anxiety. Students receive two volumes of textbooks which can be used as a resource in their college years.
This summer, spend a week at our sister campus, UW-Richland for a week filled with STEM and leadership activities or come to UW-Waukesha for five days of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Music). Contact us today for your Boy Scout troop, Girl Scout troop, or other youth organization to see how we can provide a fun-filled day with a college experience!
