Cole Porter’s Kiss Me, Kate, is a musical comedy based on William Shakespeare’s comedy, Taming of the Shrew . A play-within-a-play, we follow a group of theatre folk trying to mount a production while falling in and out of love, performing for a tough crowd and avoiding a few gangsters along the way. This revival of this family friendly classic features many numbers from the American songbook: Why Can't You Behave, So In Love Am I, Wunderbar, Tom, Dick or Harry, Were Thine That Special Face, Too Darn Hot, Brush Up Your Shakespeare, I Hate Men, Always True to You (In My Fashion) and Another Opnin’ Another Show. With a seventeen piece orchestra, glorious music, KISS ME KATE will be just plain fun, witty, melodious and sophisticated all in one show. A great “staycation” option for the summer!
