Media Resources
Welcome
The Media Services office is open M-F from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
during the academic year. There is a wide range of services available
to UW-Waukesha faculty, staff, and students. Community members may also take
advantage of some of the services offered through the Media office.
Available Services
>Media Services coordinates delivery and set-up, operation, training
and takedown of media equipment and software throughout the
UW-Waukesha campus. A 24 hour advanced reservation
of standard classroom equipment is required. If equipment and software
are being used during the weekend in the Library or for a class, reservations
must be made by 3 p.m. the proceeding Friday. Any outside groups/community
members using UW-Waukesha facilities outside the Library
and Media Services area must make arrangements at least 10 days in
advance with the campus facilities coordinator.
Any of the 1,200 plus videotapes or 45 films owned by the campus
can be viewed in a dedicated room in the Media area as these items
cannot not be taken off campus. This same room is set up
as a listening center for compact discs, audio cassettes and albums---these
formats can be checked out and taken off campus.
A darkroom for processing/printing black and white photos is
available for use to the UW Waukesha community as well as Waukesha County residents.
Users must have some darkroom experience, provide their own paper
and chemicals and attend a short orientation session with the Media
Manager.
Study rooms with blackboards are available for use.
A current UW-Waukesha student ID card or a community borrower's
card is needed to use Media Services.
