WAUKESHA – For the 8th consecutive year, the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha will hold its health fair, titled this year a "De-Stress Fest." Hosted by Student Activities and the campus Student Life and Interest Committee, this year=s event will take place Wednesday, April 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Commons on campus at 1500 N. University Dr..Several campus groups join 15 community organizations and businesses in offering free hands-on stress-relieving activities and up-to-date wellness information for students, faculty and the general public. There is no admission charge.
Two chiropractic businesses, a boxing club, a health center, a fitness equipment company and other groups that teach stretching/breathing, stress-deflating, and relaxation techniques will provide informative demonstrations. From other organizations there will be samples and information on nutrition and nutritional supplements, mental health, martial arts, skin care, cancer prevention and, of course, stress reduction.
