WAUKESHA – The University of Wisconsin-Waukesha golf team captured first place in the Milwaukee Tech Invitational Tourney held at Kettle Hills Golf Course on Friday, September 15.
J.K. Egloff (Brookfield) led the team with an 81. Combined with 83’s from teammates Scott Hochmuth (Pewaukee) and James Gottschalk (Oconomowoc) and with Cory Aune’s (Waukesha) 85, the Waukesha Cougars turned in a 332 for the day. Mark Kraus (Delafield) shot 86 and served as backup for the top four performers.
They outplayed the runner-up University of Wisconsin-Washington County team by seven strokes (339). The Milwaukee Area Technical College posted a 346; Waukesha County Technical College a 349; University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan, 352; Wisconsin Lutheran College, 356; and the University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc, 358.
Meet medalist was J. R. Larson on the UW-Manitowoc team who completed the round with only 76 strokes.
