| WAUKESHA – Three University of Wisconsin-Waukesha men basketball players have been named to honorary Wisconsin Collegiate Conference (WCC) Eastern Division teams, and their coach, Neal Nelson, was voted Coach of the Year.
Chris Hanson, Mukwonago, and Joe Hankins, Milwaukee were elected to the all-conference first team, while Jon Allerheiligen, Milwaukee, was chosen for the second team. The UW-Waukesha men Cougars, like the women Cougars, won their conference championship and tournament title.
Under Coach Nelson’s leadership, the Cougars completed the season with a 16-5 overall record, posting the final loss Monday, February 19, against Milwaukee Area Technical College in Wisconsin Junior College Athletic Association (WJCAA) championship competition. This year, the Cougars won their 7th conference title in Nelson’s 18 years of coaching the team. |
