| WAUKESHA – Director of the Business Office at the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha since 1993, Steve Eichman has resigned his post and accepted a position with the Janesville Public School System. Starting April 16, he will be director of purchasing and transportation there, overseeing those operations for the elementary, middle, and high schools in the district. Eichman, who lives in Janesville, headed the business office at UW-Rock County before coming to UW-Waukesha. His last day on campus was Wednesday, April 4.
“I will miss the people I worked with every day, the maintenance and custodial staff and the ladies in the office,” Eichman said, “but not the drive. I have reduced my commute from an hour five minutes to five minutes.”
