WAUKESHA – At the first annual University of Wisconsin-Waukesha student leadership awards banquet held Thursday, April 26, students were honored for their contributions to campus life this past year. The program was organized by the campus’ first student development coordinator, Sue Kalinka, Ixonia, and leaders from all the campus student clubs were invited to attend.
Specific awards and their winners were:

- Presidents’ Award for Involvement:

- Advisor of the Year:
Assistant Professor of Political Science, Margaret Hirschberg, Waukesha
- Emerging Leader:
Sarah Zweifel, Waukesha
- Excellence in Student Leadership:
Marion Ecks, Wauwatosa, and Juan Marchan, Waukesha
