CAMPUS FOUNDATION MEMBERS ELECTED

WAUKESHA – The Friends & Alumni of UWW Foundation, which raises funds and oversees investments for the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha, recently elected board members for 2001-2002.

Russ Launder, Oconomowoc, remains as president. Vice president and president-elect is Ann Rodriggs, Pewaukee. Richard Mundell, Waukesha, will serve as secretary; and Greg Raethke, Waukesha, as treasurer

Board members serve three-year terms, but officers are elected annually. Voting members with terms expiring in 2002 are: Dan Bowerman, a financial advisor in the Waukesha office of Robert W. Baird & Co.; Gregory Raethke, loan officer with Waukesha State Bank; and Chris Benson, attorney with Hills & Hicks, S.C., Brookfield.

Those with terms ending in 2003 include: Richard Mundell, vice president at the Cudahy branch of M&I Bank; Ann Rodriggs, vice president, David & Goliath Builders Inc; Chris Till, account executive at Cramer-Krasselt advertising and public relations, Milwaukee; and Scott Mathie, government affairs, Metropolitan Builders Association, Milwaukee.

Serving terms ending in 2004 are: E.A. “Dub” Brown, Waukesha retired; Russ Launder, a retired executive of Pfister & Vogel Tanning; and Meg Yost, first vice president in the Waukesha office of Robert W. Baird & Co.

Representing the sister organization, the Friends & Alumni of UWW, Inc., as a voting ex- officio member is that group’s president, Mary Winze, Wauwatosa. Campus dean Brad Stewart also sits as an ex-officio voting member. A number of past members continue their affiliation as well, but in an advisory, non-voting capacity.

Organized in 1986, the foundation solicits, accepts, and administers gifts for UW-Waukesha. As part of these efforts, the foundation conducts an annual fund-raising campaign and works to increase the campus’ endowment. Endowment monies are invested and only the earnings used currently.

In 2001-2002, the foundation provided more than $47,000 for scholarships, in addition to supporting other campus activities and projects.
