Waukesha – The University of Wisconsin-Waukesha Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble will present their fall concert on Friday, November 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, located in the Fine Arts Center on campus. Admission is free and open to the public.
Both groups are directed by Craig Hurst, associate professor of music.
Leading off the evening, the Jazz Ensemble will perform works by Bobby Lewis, Bob Ojeda, Hoagy Carmichael, Wayne Shorter, and Joe Henderson. After a short intermission, the Symphonic Band will take over, starting with a fanfare and then a march. They have more pieces in their program, including another fanfare.
