UW-Waukesha Athletic Hall of Fame Expands

WAUKESHA – In 2001, the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha started an Athletic Hall of Fame, inducting 23 members that inaugural year. Making up for lost time, the campus will hold its second induction ceremony Saturday, February 8, when 32 additional athletes and one former coach will be recognized and welcomed. Two of the athletes played on the basketball team the year the campus opened in 1966, and several others contributed to sports teams in the late 1960’s.

All of the inductees have been invited to participate in a ceremony to be held in the Field House after the 1:00 p.m. UW-Waukesha Cougar women’s game and before the 3:00 p.m. men’s game (at about 2:00 p.m.). Both squads are playing UW-Sheboygan Wombat teams. Admission to the games is free and open to the public. A private reception will follow.
