WAUKESHA The African American Union, a student group at the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha, extends a special invitation to African American high school juniors and seniors to get a taste of campus life on Thursday, February 27. Besides offering a warm welcome, the AAU will brief the students on career options and scholarship searches and present tips on college success.
Following a free lunch with members of the AAU, guests then will join other students in the Campus Preview program, which includes information on financial aid, a panel discussion with current UW-Waukesha students, and a campus tour.
The AAU-sponsored morning session begins at 10:00 a.m. on campus. Students needing a ride can be picked up at Waukesha South High School at 9:30 a.m. It is open to both the students and their parents or guardians. The general Campus Preview runs from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Transportation back to the high school will be provided for those participating in the African American Day activities.
