WAUKESHA University of Wisconsin-Waukesha womens basketball coach Jack Hervert recorded his 300th career coaching victory on January 18, when his Cougar team beat UW-Fox Valley 64-48. The team continued its run with an additional 10 wins this season, retaining the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference crown. It was the Cougars 10th conference title in 11 years.
Hervert has compiled a 285-85 win-loss record in his 13 seasons coaching womens basketball at UW-Waukesha and previously coached at Wausau-area secondary schools.
A physical education graduate of the UW-La Crosse, Hervert earned a bachelors degree in 1983 and a masters in 1985 and added a minor in health education in 1989 from UW-Stevens Point. In 1998 he joined the faculty at UW-Waukesha.
A native of Tomahawk, he now lives in Milwaukee. |
