WAUKESHA This year the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble will be joined by the Hand Bell Choir in presenting the annual spring concert. It is set for Friday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, located in the Fine Arts Center on campus at 1500 N. University Dr., Waukesha. Admission is free, and the public is invited.
Craig Hurst, associate professor of music, continues as director of the band and jazz ensemble, and Nancy Van Brunt will lead the hand bell choir.
The program has been divided by intermissions into three sections, opening with three selections performed by the jazz ensemble. The hand bell choir will perform will perform the next set, and the symphonic band will complete the evenings offering. A special feature of the band will be a performance by Kevin Monteith on the bagpipes.
