WAUKESHA – Director of Library and Media Services at the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha, Faye Flesia, 57, will retire in November after 34 of service at the university.
A native of the northern Wisconsin community of Mellen, she graduated in 1968 from Northland College, Ashland, with a BS degree in social studies, working part time her last two years as a library assistant at the Vaughn Public Library there. Her interest captured, she went on to UW-Madison, completing an MLS the following year, and then began working at UW-Waukesha. In 1985, she earned a master’s degree in urban affairs at UW-Milwaukee.
