UW-Waukesha Band Performs in Concert

WAUKESHA –The University of Wisconsin-Waukesha Symphonic Band will present its annual fall concert Friday, November 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, located in the Fine Arts Center on campus at 1500 N. University Dr., Waukesha. Admission is free, and the public is invited.

Gary McKercher, who also teaches music at the UW-Baraboo campus, will direct a program of works by composers Bach, Sousa, Delibes, and Grainger, as well as arrangements of American spirituals.

Instrumentalists include both students and members of the community.

Dousman: Gerry Throndson, trombone

Franklin: Paul Stein, French horn

Hartland: Franco Albian, trumpet; Siobhan McAlpin, tenor saxophone

Helenville: Rebecca Folgert, flute

Johnson Creek: Brandi Pribbennow, clarinet

Lake Geneva: Jason Selinko, alto saxophone

Menomonee Falls: Daniel Dardich, clarinet; Tom Haefner, trombone; Carrie Miller, alto saxophone

Milwaukee: Delainie Heinzen, flute; Jessica Turtenwald, bass clarinet

New Berlin: Beverly Mutter, clarinet; Bess Strempel, French horn

Pewaukee: Norm Gabler, bass clarinet; Lora Mueller, flute

Wales: Ken Hyland, euphonium

Waukesha: Nick Bernhardt, percussion; Ralph Bisek, trombone; Alan Buchanan, trumpet; Jennifer Esh, clarinet; Shawn Krueger, tuba; Amy Longtin, trumpet; Keith Murphy, trombone; Erik Paaske, tuba; Jason Siehr, French horn; Jason Starck, percussion; Misty Teske, baritone saxophone; Dan Zimmerman, trumpet

Wauwatosa: Marcia Smeiska, oboe/English horn

Don Blodgett lives in Maine but spends part of the year in Wisconsin. He will be performing on trombone with the band.
