WAUKESHA This year the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha handbell ensemble will join the campus choir in presenting a free holiday concert on Friday, December 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on campus at 1500 N. University Dr., Waukesha.
Brian McLinden will direct the choir in seasonal music, accompanied on the piano by Ruth Ross and, at times, by the handbell ensemble.
Directed by Nancy Van Brunt, the handbell ensemble separately will perform works by Haydn, Bach, Hopson, Kocher, Tchaikovsky, and Handel. Kent Kromarek, an associate professor of mathematics and a member of the handbell choir, assisted Van Brunt in coaching the group in technique.
