WAUKESHA Student leaders at the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha were recognized for their contributions to student activities at the campus at an April 22 banquet.
Chosen for the Presidents Award for Involvement by the presidents of all the active clubs on campus was Mark Dethardt, Mayville.
Vice president of the campus Diversity Club, Ashley Lane, Hartland, was given the Emerging Leader Award, and Shalyn Miller, Waukesha, who has served on the Student Government Association and as an officer of the Campus Crusade for Christ, received the Award for Excellence in Student Leadership.
One club, the African American Union (AAU), gave awards to its founders, Aaliyah Muhammed and Lee Harris, both of Milwaukee, and outstanding member, Grover Scanlan, Waukesha.
Assistant professor of English, Greg Ahrenhoerster, Whitefish Bay, was named Advisor of the Year for his work with Literary Club and Film Club.
