WAUKESHA In addition to awarding Associate of Arts & Science Degrees to students at the annual Honors & Degree ceremony May 20, the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha also recognized exceptional student achievements.
Academic departments honor students who have excelled in that discipline, giving awards not annually but only when a student exhibits such outstanding work. Receiving departmental honors this year were:

This year Sean C. Andrews, Waukesha, and Gabrielle Ziehr, West Bend, were named to the All-USA Academic Team. Sponsored by USA Today, the American Association of Community Colleges, and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, this award recognizes scholarly achievements of students enrolled in two-year colleges.
Four students received transfer scholarships, funded by UW-Milwaukee faculty, to complete their studies at that school, and six others received UW-Milwaukee Bachelor of Arts degrees, which they completed at the Waukesha campus through the UW-Milwaukee College Connection program.
