WAUKESHA For the 14th year, the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha women's head basketball coach will hold a basketball camp this summer for girls entering grades 7 through 12, and there still is space available.
Coach Jack Hervert will teach the fundamentals of both defense and offense, providing training and techniques for guards and post players. He has assembled a group of basketball players and area coaches to help provide personalized attention for each girls game.
Camp will be held in the UW-Waukesha Field House Monday, July 26, through Thursday, July 29, from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
The $75 fee includes a t-shirt and up to $1,000 of accident insurance. The fee should accompany the application. Make checks payable to UW-Waukesha and mail to UW-Waukesha, Attention Jack Hervert, 1500 N. University Dr., Waukesha, WI 53188-2799.
Hervert, with a collegiate record of 311-88, has led the UW-Waukesha women Cougars to conference championships each year for the past 8 and in11 out of the last 12 years. His teams have made nine state tournament appearances and won the title five times.
