WAUKESHA – The University of Wisconsin-Waukesha student Latino club, OLLA (Organizacion de Lideres Latinos Americanos), once again will hold a Fiesta para la Communidad and celebrate Dia de los Muerios (Day of the Dead). The whole community is invited.
There will be free admission, food, and entertainment in the Commons on Friday, October 29, from 6:00-11:30 p.m. The celebration includes a piñata, jalapeño-eating contest, and a raffle, with proceeds going to the OLLA scholarship fund. Sonido Makabra will spin tunes, and Grupo Bahia and Dos Amigos will perform.
OLLA requests donations of books – from children’s to adult. They will augment the La Casa de Esperanza library.
