Based on the books by Robert Fulghum, the play was adapted by Ernest Zulia, with music by David Caldwell, and dramatizes incidents in peoples lives that illustrate the Kindergarten Code.
The Louisville (KY) Courier Journal called it a gentle musical that avoids being a pretentious homily on the meaning of life. Rather, this collection of stories captures the exuberance and imagination of children, reminding grown-ups of the wonder of youth and the wisdom of using similar wide-eyed vision to understand and cope with more complex problems as they occur. Speaking to the meaning of life and mystery of death, it treats both with light-hearted reverence.
