WAUKESHA – Attending college next semester could be rather easy on your wallet. The Friends & Alumni of UW-W Foundation is raffling off a semester’s worth of tuition for the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha.
The grand prize, a check for $1,961.39, equals a semester’s full-time tuition for a Wisconsin resident, but, of course, the winner may choose to use the money however he or she likes. In addition, a DVD home theater system with six speakers, valued at $200, will be given away.
Raffle tickets, sold as singles for $10 each or in packs of three for $20, are available from the Foundation. Phone (262) 446-3328. MasterCard and Visa will be accepted.
The drawing will take place at noon Thursday, February 17, in the UW-Waukesha Commons, 1500 N. University Dr., Waukesha, and winners will be notified by phone.
Proceeds from the raffle support scholarships – making tuition more affordable for other students as well.
