WAUKESHA – Students groups from the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha and Carroll College are organizing a rally to protest the conflict in Iraq and commemorate the two-year anniversary of its inception. Co-sponsored by the UW-Waukesha Students for Peace and the Carroll College Democrats, the “peace rally” is set for Wednesday, March 16, at noon in the Commons dining area on the UW-Waukesha campus, 1500 N. University Dr.
Speakers will include George Martin of Peace Action Wisconsin and Matt Rothschild, editor of The Progressive magazine. The local band, Forth Effect, also will be performing. The public is invited.
