WAUKESHA – Taking over July 1 as the new coordinator of the Continuing Education program at the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha, Laura Lottes, Waukesha, previously coordinated the continuing and consumer education program at Northeast Iowa Community College, Peosta, Iowa, from 1995-2001. More recently she has worked at Stan Johnson Design, Pewaukee, handling the accounts receivable and doing forensic research and has been co-owner and manager of a family business in Peosta.
In her new position as the UW-Waukesha Continuing Education Outreach Manager, Lottes will assess community needs for non-credit continuing education. Then she will originate, budget, plan, implement and evaluate programs to fit those needs. In the process, she will research how best to serve the community, recruit faculty to present classes, and inform the public of the offerings. Her position is for 75 percent time.
Part of the University of Wisconsin’s idea to address the educational needs of all the citizens, the Outreach program brings an array of classes, workshops and seminars to local citizens and area businesses to help them with professional advancement, personal enrichment, and continuing education.
Lottes earned both a Bachelor of Business Administration and an MBA degree from the University of Dubuque, Dubuque , Iowa. She also holds a real estate license in Iowa.
