WAUKESHA At its meeting in early July, the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents set tuition rates for the 2005-06 academic year. Including segregated fees, which are assessed by student government, full time (12-18 credits) Wisconsin residents who attend the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha will pay $2,103.01 each semester. In addition, there is a $2 per student charge for the campus student government membership in United Council.
A single credit will cost $175.25, plus the $2 United Council (UC) fee, and a 3-credit course is $525.75, plus UC fee. Residents may audit a class at $50 per credit, and the UC fee does not apply. Senior citizens age 60 and older can audit classes where space remains for free.
There is still time to register for fall classes, which begin September 6.
The University of Wisconsin Colleges, of which UW-Waukesha is the largest campus, offer freshman and sophomore courses with credits guaranteed to transfer to other UW campuses, making the Colleges a financially sound choice for beginning college students. The small classes also make it academically challenging and satisfying.
