WAUKESHA – University of Wisconsin-Waukesha theater director Mark Lococo will hold auditions for the campus spring production of In Their Own Words: A Vietnam Chronicle, adapted by Betsy Lifton and Mindy Schanback from several non-fiction sources. Audition times are from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, January 24 and 25, in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, located in the Fine Arts Center on campus at 1500 N. University Dr., Waukesha.
The play follows eight characters: a squad of four grunts, their sergeant, and three women – the pregnant wife of the sergeant, the sister of one of the grunts, and a combat nurse in country. Auditions will consist of reading from the script.
Performances have been scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays, March 17, 18, 24 and 25, at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 19, at 2:00 p.m. College credit is available for participation.
