WAUKESHA – Planning your programming for your club in the new year? Looking for a resource or expert to answer a question? Check out the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha’s Resource Guide, which features a Speaker’s Bureau and Experts Guide. Just aim your Web browser to: http://waukesha.uwc.edu/resources/speakers.html
You will find a list of the names of faculty and staff members who are available to speak to high-school classes or to groups, such as community organizations, service clubs, church groups, etc. as an expression of their professional commitment to the community. Most speakers do not require a fee for local presentations, however, they may request honoraria and travel expenses. Donations may be made to the UWW Friends and Alumni Foundation, Inc., toward its scholarship fund. If you would like to engage a speaker, make contact with him or her directly, preferably via his or her e-mail, and allow a few weeks to make arrangements.
In addition, the Web site has a resource section, which is a list of experts willing to share their special knowledge with members of the media seeking to clarify or further explain a story or with businesses that might have questions or technical concerns.
UW-Waukesha has the largest enrollment among the 13 freshman-sophomore University of Wisconsin Colleges campuses. For information about programs, admission, or financial aid, contact the Student Services office at (262) 521-5200 or visit the Web at waukesha.uwc.edu. |
