WAUKESHA – For the fourth consecutive year, University of Wisconsin-Waukesha faculty and students have collaborated on research projects, and they will present their outcomes at a symposium Saturday, April 8, from 8:15 a.m. to around 3:00 p.m. in Conference Room 101 in the Commons on campus at 1500 N. University Dr., Waukesha. Admission is free, and the public is invited.
Following a continental breakfast, campus dean Patrick Schmitt will give a keynote address at 9:00 a.m., speaking on “The Uses of Research.” Students will present their papers in one morning and two afternoon sessions, and a free lunch will be served at 12:15 p.m. The day will conclude with the awarding of certificates at about 2:30 p.m.
Unusual in the academic world for freshmen and sophomores, the twelve students undertook projects with their professors. They investigated a variety of topics:
