WAUKESHA –
Mark
Lococo, who is directing the original play written by University
of Wisconsin-Waukesha Professor of English
Margaret
Rozga, has selected a cast of nine students for parts in
March On Milwaukee: A Memoir of the Open Housing Protests.
It will be performed at UW-Waukesha Fridays and
Saturdays, April 13, 14, 20, and 21, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April
15, at 2:00 p.m. and will be staged in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre,
located in the Fine Arts Center on campus at 1500 N. University Dr.,
Waukesha.
Appearing in the work, which reaches back 40
years and commemorates a tumultuous but history-making time in the
local civil rights movement, will be:
Delafield: Cody Kreidler
Helenville: Carly Malison
Menomonee Falls: Crystasany Turner
Milwaukee: Kimberly Hamilton and Michael
Hopkins II
New Berlin: Michael Jornlin
Oconomowoc: Rachel Matteson
Waukesha: Joshua Liston and Angela
Russell
Other students assisting with the play will be
stage manager Megan Plicka, West Allis, and crew, Matt
Weiskotten, Colgate, Emily Kosanke and Mike Szachewicz,
Hartland, and Flynn Woller, New Berlin. Casielene
Thigpen, Waukesha, will serve as the dramaturg for the
production.
The campus theater manager,
Jeff
Smerz, West Allis, will do the design and technical
direction. Lococo is an associate professor of Communication &
Theatre Arts and the campus theater director.
Tickets are available by phoning (262)
521-5212, and the box office will open an hour before each
performance. All seating is general admission. Adults are $8;
senior citizens (62+) and students $7, and UW-Waukesha students with
ID free.

the 13 freshman-sophomore University of Wisconsin Colleges campuses.
