WAUKESHA – This summer, consider working on your
education. You can take the course you dropped, get requirements
out of the way so you can take special classes during the
semester, simply make sure you’ll be able to graduate on time,
or fill summer hours with something worthwhile.
The University of Wisconsin-Waukesha is offering
both day and evening summer classes in four sessions. Three- and
six-week sessions begin May 21 and run through June 8 and 29,
respectively. Another six-week and an eight-week session start
June 11, ending July 20 and August 3, respectively. In addition,
the first two levels of general chemistry will be offered in
consecutive four-week blocks during the eight-week session.
Summer-only students merely need to fill out an
application (no fee), available at
www.apply.wisconsin.edu. Admitted students will receive
registration information in the mail and can enroll online. New
students who plan to continue at UW-Waukesha will have to
complete an application form, pay the fee ($35), and provide
transcripts and ACT or SAT scores.
Tuition for Wisconsin residents is $184.78 per
credit hour plus a $2/person United Council fee ($195 per credit
for online courses plus a $60 per course registration fee).
Sixty class offerings this summer, plus 29 online
courses, cover an array of subjects including mathematics at
various levels, English composition, first aid, fitness,
economics, statistics, history, communications and public
speaking, art, biology and physiology, psychology, sociology,
ethics, geography, anthropology, physics, political science,
management, chemistry, Spanish, women’s studies, and more.
