WAUKESHA – Director
Jeff
Smerz has selected a cast of five students and one former
student for the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha production of
James Sherman’s Beau Jest this fall.
Jake Bowen, West Allis, plays Chris Kringle,
Sarah’s non-Jewish boyfriend.
Jonathan Hollister, North Prairie, is Bob
Schroeder, whom Sarah hires to pose as her Jewish boyfriend to
meet her parents.
Bill Eckart, Eagle, plays Joel Goldman,
Sarah’s brother.
Andrew Klauck, Waukesha, is Abe Goldman,
Sarah’s father.
Molly Neumann, Oconomowoc, is Miriam,
Sarah’s mother.
Karen Haynes, Elm Grove, plays Sarah, the
young school teacher trying to satisfy her parents’ wishes for a
proper romance in spite of her own preferences.
Performances are scheduled for Fridays and
Saturdays, November 2, 3, 9, and 10, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday,
November 4, at 2:00 p.m. in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, located
in the Fine Arts Center on campus at 1500 N. University Dr.,
Waukesha.
All seating is general admission, and
tickets cost $8 each; $7 for students and senior citizens (62+),
and free for students with a UW-Waukesha ID. For ticket
