WAUKESHA –Twelve students will
be inducted this semester into the University of
Wisconsin-Waukesha’s Alpha Chi Rho chapter of Phi Theta Kappa,
the national honor society for two-year colleges. The ceremony
is set for Thursday, October 18, at 7:00 p.m. in the Conference
Room 101, located in the Commons on campus at 1500 N.
University Dr., Waukesha.
To be
eligible for the honor society, students must have earned at
least 12 credits at UW‑Waukesha with a 3.5 cumulative grade
point average. An additional 41 students qualified but chose not
to join.
Advisors this semester for
the campus group are assistant professor of English
Ellyn Lem
and assistant professor of history
Jonathan Kasparek, Waukesha, and library director
Scott
Silet, Milwaukee.
