WAUKESHA – The Muslim Student Association (MSA)
at the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha has invited Inshirah
Farhoud, the outreach coordinator for the Islamic Society of
Milwaukee, to speak about Islamic beliefs and damaging
stereotypes of Muslims. Open to the public at no charge, the
presentation will be held Tuesday, November 27, at 6 p.m.
in Room 101 of the Commons on campus at 1500 N. University Dr.,
Waukesha. They will serve authentic Middle Eastern finger food
as well.
The student African-American Union (AAU)
will host a Health Fair Wednesday, December 5, from 10
a.m.-4 p.m. also in the Commons.
In partnership with the Waukesha County
NAACP Youth & College Chapter and Aurora Health Care, AAU will
offer free blood-pressure and blood-glucose screenings. Flu
shots will be available for $5 plus the donation of a
non-perishable food item.
The public is welcome, and refreshments
will be served.

enrollment among the 13 freshman-sophomore University of
