UW-Waukesha Professors, Staff Named Kaplan Fellows

WAUKESHA – The University of Wisconsin-Waukesha choir will present a concert of both classic and modern Christmas music Friday, December 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, located in the Fine Arts Center on campus at 1500 N. University Dr., Waukesha.

Admission is free, and the public is invited. There will be free parking on the street and in campus lots.

An ensemble of five violins will open the program, followed by light-hearted choral selections, including works from How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The violins and choir will return, each performing classical pieces, and then will close together with Enatus est Emmanuel.

The choir is directed by associate lecturer in music Brian McLinden, and the string ensemble is comprised of:

            Michael J. Gerlach, Kenosha

            Sarah Leair, New Berlin

            Valeria Ray, Waukesha

            Amanda Winkler, Mukwonago

            Singers performing with the UW-Waukesha choir in this fall concert are:

Milwaukee:    Kellie Kalous and Katarina Rybarova, sopranos

Mukwonago:  Kim Hooten, alto; Mary Kate Rohan, soprano

Muskego:       Victoria Hench and Carlee Lehmann, sopranos; Kevin Schaffer, tenor New Berlin: Erin Holly, soprano

No. Prairie:    Joshus McCulloch, bass

Pewaukee:     Cassandra Heckenkamp and Erin Van Quill, sopranos; Rebecca Jonas, alto

Sullivan:         Lauren Wleczyk, alto

Waterford:     Shari Christainsen, soprano

Waukesha:     Steven Colosi and Kyle Krause, basses; Stephen Korb, tenor; Katie Llanas             and Alicia Povlich, altos

Wind Lake:    Brian Collins, bass
