25 – Art Exhibit – “Book, Body, Text” with displays in the Fine Arts Center Gallery and in the library.  Through Feb. 12.

February

1 – Visions & Expressions – Patrick Jones.  C101, noon.

17 – 50 Minutes Lecture – “Spirits of Earth: The Effigy Mound Landscape of Madison and the Four Lakes,” based on the newest book published by Bob Birmingham (Anthropology). C101, noon.

22 – Art Gallery Exhibit – Recent photographs by William Lemke. Through April 2.

March

10 – 50 Minutes Lecture – “It Came from Planet Earth: Ecological Horror Films and the Politics of Environmentalism” by Joe Foy (Political Science). C101, noon.

15 – Concert – Windy Hill Brass, UW-Waukesha Chorus and Handbell Choir. Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, 7:30 p.m.

31 – Visions & Expressions – “Cardiac Stem Cells: Cell Therapy Approaches to Treating Heart Disease” by Gary Lyons, professor of anatomy, UW-Madison

April

7 – 50 Minutes Lecture – “’Based on a True Story’: Reflections on Two Recent Attempts of Hollywood to Show the Human Face of Evil” by Sheila Carmody (English). C101, noon.

8 – Distinguished Lecturer – Harvey Kaye, an American historian and sociologist and endowed chair in the Department of History and Social Change at UW-Green Bay. Speaks on the impact of Thomas Paine’s legacy on American political thought.

15-17 – Theatre Production – Debut of Doug Bedwell’s  Thieves, directed by Steven Decker.  Performances at 7:30 p.m. daily plus 2 p.m. matinee April  16. Admission:  $8 adults; $7 students and senior citizens, and free with UW-Waukesha student ID.  Box office opens one hour before each performance.  For information, phone (262) 521-5209.

16 – Visions & Expressions – “The Revolution is Being Televised” by Timothy Dale, assistant professor of political science, UW-Green Bay.

19 – Art Gallery Exhibit – Annual UW-Waukesha student exhibition. Through May 20.

May

5 – 50 Minutes Lecture – ““Foundation for Wildlife Conservation in Belize” by Gil K. Boese, Ph.D., Milwaukee County Zoo Director Emeritus and President of the Foundation for Wildlife Conservation, Inc.  C101, noon.

7 – Concert – Symphonic Band. Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, 7:30 p.m.

10 – Concert – Windy Hill Brass, UW-Waukesha Chorus and Handbell Choir.  Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, 7:30 p.m.
