Tuition and Fees General Information
Advance Tuition Deposit
All students except Online* only, Youth Options Program, and Senior Auditors are required to pay an advance tuition deposit of $100.00 prior to registration. The tuition deposit is intended to verify and ensure the student's intent to take classes at UW-Waukesha.
- Pay the $100 advance tuition deposit at least one day prior to registration.
- You may register on-line.
- The Advance Tuition Deposit cannot be covered in advance by a student's financial aid award or scholarship as these funds are not distributed until after classes begin.
* Online courses require a $60.00 non-refundable registration fee for each course. Go to www.online.uwc.edu for more information.
For Fall 2008-2009 you will forfeit the $100 if you withdraw after June 30, 2008.
Tuition and Fee Assessment
Tuition and Fee charges are established by the UW System Board of Regents and are assessed according to a schedule provided by the UW Colleges.
View your tuition bill on your account. Please pay your tuition based on the amount on your account.
You WILL NOT
receive a bill.
To avoid losing your advance tuition deposit, your tuition must be paid by the payment deadline. Please refer to Tuition and Fee - Due Dates for the specific semester payment calendar.
If your credit load changes the tuition charges will recalculate when you access your Account Summary.
When you add or drop classes after the first 10 days of the semester, there is not an even exchange for credit charges:
- Full tuition will be charged on any course added
- Only a 50 percent reduction of tuition for most courses dropped during week 3 and week 4.
- No reduction of tuition for most courses dropped after the fourth week of the semester.
- Review the dates for a specific semester.
UW-Waukesha offers a Partial Payment Plan payment plan extending the final payment date.
Even if you are on the Partial Payment Plan, you might owe tuition when you withdraw after September. The amount is still owed to the the University after tuition is recalculated with the withdrawal. The withdrawal date is based on the date that the request to withdraw is received at the Student Services Office.
Remember it is your responsibility to check with the Business/Cashier's Office, not the Student Service's Office, for financial information. Contact wakbo@uwc.edu or call (262) 521-5441.
Access your account and select the Self Service Account>Learners>Finances>Account Summary tab to determine your current tuition and fee amount due.
