Structured Study Groups:

UW-Waukesha offers tutoring in a variety of different subjects: science, business, foreign languages, and many more.  The Study Center organizes structured study groups for these subjects.  Our trained tutors complement classroom instruction by leading study group participants toward a greater understanding of the subject and an insider's view of what it takes to be successful in the course.

Did you know that study group participants will likely achieve a final grade on point higher that what they would have otherwise earned?  The groups are informal, relaxed, and friendly.  Click below to download a current list of study groups and the times they meet in the Study Center.  Please feel free to inquire if you need tutoring assistance in a subject not listed.

Study Skills:

Good study skills are crucial to college success!  Learn how to improve your skills in textbook reading, note taking, test taking, memorization, and time management.  Contact Katia Salyards, the Campus Study Skills Specialist at katia.salyards@uwc.edu.  Also, consider enrolling in Study Skills, LEA 103, a one credit, five week course.  Remember, what you put into college is what you will get out of it!

Workshops:

The Study Center offers free workshops taught by the Math and Writing Specialists at different times throughout the semester.  If you need a review session or would like to learn a new skill, these workshops are for you!  Check back in the spring for a list of what writing workshops will be offered.
