Listing of Scholarships

Altrusa Club Scholarship

For a new or continuing female student over 21 who is returning to college to improve her career. Must have a 3.0 grade point average and enroll for at least 6 credits.

Cathy Bengtson Memorial Scholarship

For a continuing student, or a student transferring to a four-year university to major in math education. Preference will be given to students who have participated in the UW-Waukesha Study Center programs. Recommendation from Study Center staff is required.

Jane K. Burgess Sociology Scholarship

For a continuing student with a minimum of 6 earned credits in Sociology and/or Anthropology. Must enroll for at least 6 credits.

John & Barbara Forrest Scholarship

For new or continuing students majoring in business or engineering and who expect to transfer to a UW System institution.

Founding Faculty Scholarship

For a senior graduating in the top 15% of their high school class. Available to full and part- time students.

Friends & Alumni

For new and continuing students in any area of study. Available to full and part-time students.

Friends Scholar Award

Two-year, renewable scholarship for seniors graduating from Waukesha County high schools in the upper five percent of their class. Must maintain 12 credits each semester; earn a 3.25 average first semester and a 3.5 average in the following semesters.

Vincent Gleason Memorial Scholarship

For an incoming freshman who participated in any UW-System Pre-College Program. A high school GPA of 2.5 or higher and a recommendation from their pre-college advisor is required.

Reverend James E. Groppi Memorial Scholarship

For a new or continuing student who has demonstrated community service and has financial need.

Joyce Hatteberg Connor Scholarship

For a continuing student majoring in education with a minimum of 6 earned credits and a 2.5 GPA first semester and 2.75 or higher GPA in following semesters. May be renewed for up to three semesters.

Evelyn Evert Huegel Scholarship

For a new or continuing student in all areas of study. Available to full or part-time students.

Ed Jackamonis Community Service Award

For a full or part-time continuing student who takes an active role in serving the community at large or the UW-Waukesha community, and has earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher and plans to earn a bachelor's degree.

Mary S. Knudten Scholarship

For a high school senior graduating in the top ten percent of their class.

Paul F. Kopshinsky Memorial Scholarship

For a new or continuing student with intended major in history, art or astronomy and natural sciences who have financial need. Available to full or part-time students.

Karl F. Lange Memorial Scholarship

For a high school senior who graduated in the upper 20 percent of his/her high school class and is pursuing a degree in any of the sciences.

Joseph and Maria Lubitz Memorial Scholarship

For a continuing student planning to study enter graduate school in a health field or other than a chiropractic field. Must have a 3.0 average and enroll for at least 12 credits.

Murnan-Smith Scholarship for Single Parents

For a new or continuing student in any field of study who is a single parent. Must have a 3.0 high school average or a 2.33 college average, whichever is more recent. Must enroll for at least 6 credits.

Arif Naim Memorial Scholarship

For a continuing student majoring in engineering.

Sandie Naumann Memorial Scholarship

For new and continuing students majoring in a course of study related to health care, including social work, counseling and teaching disabled students. Must have a 2.7 grade point average and enroll for at least 6 credits.

John W. Rabby Scholarship

For students pursuing an English major and who have financial need.

Mary Ryan Scholarship

For a continuing student majoring in education. First priority given to those majoring in physical education/athletics. Minimum grade point average of 2.6 required.

UW-Waukesha Diversity Club Scholarship

For new or continuing students who demonstrate involvement in support of diversity. Must have minimum grade point average of 2.0.

UW-Waukesha OLLA Club Scholarship

For a new or continuing student who demonstrates a commitment to the Latino Community and has a minimum grade point average of 2.0.

UW-Waukesha Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

For a continuing student with at least 12 earned credits, a 3.5 grade point average, and demonstrated service to UW-Waukesha. Must enroll for at least 6 credits.

Waukesha State Bank Scholarship

For low/moderate income or minority students in any area of study. Full or part-time.

Wilcox Textbook Award

For a new or continuing student in any area of study. Award is a line of credit at campus bookstore for textbook purchase.

Aubrey Wood Memorial Scholarship

For a new or continuing student majoring or minoring in chemistry or nursing, or preparing for a career that requires college chemistry. Must enroll for at least 12 credits.

Virginia Wrigley Memorial Scholarship

For a new or continuing female student planning to major in one of the natural sciences, mathematics, psychology or a health science. Must enroll for at least 12 credits.

Deborah Zweifel Memorial Scholarship

For a continuing student who has earned a minimum of 12 credits at UW-Waukesha and whose academic record at UW-Waukesha demonstrates significant improvement over a previous academic record.
